The venerable Zen Master Ziggy came from humble beginnings. He spent his first 8 weeks in a foster home in southern New Hampshire. As fortune would have it, he was adopted by Marketing Mogul and Website Designer, Christine Green, through the “Future Spiritual Leaders Feline Rescue Society” at Petco in Plaistow, on Sunday June 28, 2009.

His troubled teen years included several incarcerations…As a young man, he was convicted of driving without a license (he thought only dogs needed a license), sale of catnip to minors, and disorderly conduct in his litter box. After this dark period of his life, Zen Master Ziggy got into recovery and found his spiritual path.

Master Ziggy had his first kensho experience in the summer of 2009 and attained full enlightenment during one of his toilet training sessions with his adopted mother in October of 2009.  After this he quickly developed a following. His well-known blog is read by humans and aloud to cats all over the world.

The Master is currently working on several books: “Mice Are People Too” and “Litter-free in America: A Guide to Toilet Training for Cats”
